Your new role
Together with your team in the Microspectroscopy Group, you collaborate on the soft X-ray ptychography project at the Swiss Light Source. Cooperating with both internal and external partners, you carry out research work using ptychography-based X-ray microscopy and spectroscopy at the nanoscale. You conduct experiments on systems such as magnetic nanostructures for spintronic applications and functional nanomaterials.

You find the idea of supporting an energetic, interdisciplinary, and cross-national team with your PhD knowledge in experimental physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related area, motivating.
You enjoy developing and working hands-on on experimental setups and adapting existing Matlab, C, or Python code to explore and interpret large datasets
You have some initial experience using ptychography – or another lens-less imaging technique.
You are interested in magnetism, functional nanomaterials, or X-ray microscopy.
